Code
I love programming and usually have a couple of personal projects on the go, some of which even get finished...occasionally:P
I use C# and the .NET framework at work and tend to use Ruby for personal stuff. I actually really like C# but Ruby is a real pleasure to code in and you don't need an IDE to be productive in it.
In terms of web stuff I'm all for MVC-based stacks...Rails is great, or any simpler rack-based alternative like Padrino which this site uses. For people stuck in the .NET walled garden ASP.NET MVC is the only way to go - ok it's still got lots to do to catch up with other frameworks but it's such a vast improvement over the rubbish that is ASP.NET WebForms.
